Leidos is seeking a Telecom Engineer to join our team supporting the Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (BICES-X) program. You will provide critical network support enabling intelligence information sharing on global threats for DoD and coalition partners. Your work involves resolving incidents and providing training within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

What You'll Do

Provide advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel.
Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems.
Provide network, equipment, and specialized training and technical guidance.
Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
Participate in special projects as assigned.
Analyze, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
Manage the usage and performance of voice, video, and data communications networks.
Maintain the network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.
Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
Assist with the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.

What We're Looking For

IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SCNP).
10+ years of related experience.
Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.
Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
Must meet DOD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
Must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP).
Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while ensuring high-quality work.
Experience working directly with hardware vendors during incident resolution.
Experience with various software systems, communications protocols, and network hardware devices.
Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities.
The work is performed at client site locations, which may require handling light materials or equipment.

Nice to Have

Completed CCNP Enterprise or JNCIS-ENT certification.
Knowledge and experience with VoIP/VTC collaboration systems.
Knowledge and experience with Multicast and GRE Routing.
Knowledge of virtualization technologies as they apply to networking: VMware, Citrix, Microsoft.
Knowledge and experience with data center networking.
Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets.
Understanding of network virtualization.
