Leidos is seeking a Telecom Engineer to join our team supporting the Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (BICES-X) program. You will provide critical network support enabling intelligence information sharing on global threats for DoD and coalition partners. Your work involves resolving incidents and providing training within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide advice and training to end-users and less-experienced network personnel.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve network incidents and problems.
- Provide network, equipment, and specialized training and technical guidance.
- Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware and software compatibility.
- Participate in special projects as assigned.
- Analyze, administer, and maintain voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
- Manage the usage and performance of voice, video, and data communications networks.
- Maintain the network to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements.
- Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents.
- Maintain network security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures and standards.
- Interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance.
- Assist with the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure.
What We're Looking For
- IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SCNP).
- 10+ years of related experience.
- Must possess and maintain an active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
- BA/BS degree – may substitute additional years of experience.
- Must possess a completed CCNA certification.
- Must meet DOD 8570 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
- Must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
- Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
- Knowledge and experience with routing and switching protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Spanning Tree Protocol, ISAKMP, ESP, SIP, SCCP).
- Knowledge and experience with current Cisco IOS software and hardware features.
- Knowledge and experience with HAIPE-based encryption devices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multi-task while ensuring high-quality work.
- Experience working directly with hardware vendors during incident resolution.
- Experience with various software systems, communications protocols, and network hardware devices.
- Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities.
- The work is performed at client site locations, which may require handling light materials or equipment.
Nice to Have
- Completed CCNP Enterprise or JNCIS-ENT certification.
- Knowledge and experience with VoIP/VTC collaboration systems.
- Knowledge and experience with Multicast and GRE Routing.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies as they apply to networking: VMware, Citrix, Microsoft.
- Knowledge and experience with data center networking.
- Experience with firewalls and firewall rule sets.
- Understanding of network virtualization.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
