What You'll Do
Lead a team of Level 2 network engineers, overseeing daily operations and ensuring seamless shift transitions. Serve as the main contact for resolving service delivery challenges, managing escalations, and maintaining continuity of critical tasks.
Conduct in-depth root cause analyses to identify and resolve recurring network issues. Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track team effectiveness and service reliability. Design and refine workflows to enhance the speed and quality of network operations.
Perform advanced troubleshooting across local and wide area networks, both remotely and on-site. Evaluate existing network designs, recommend upgrades, and lead implementation efforts for improved performance and scalability. Develop technical documentation and coordinate with teams during system upgrades and maintenance cycles.
Requirements
Proven technical proficiency with Cisco Nexus 7000, 5000, and 2000 series switches is required. Solid understanding of switching technologies and core routing protocols—including OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP—is essential for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF) concepts
- Experience with Dynamic Multipoint VPN (DMVPN) configurations
- Working knowledge of load balancing technologies such as F5 or Cisco ACE
- Background in managing wireless access points and LAN controllers
- Hands-on experience with Cisco 5500, 7500, or 4400 series controllers
