The Network Analyst plays a key role in maintaining and expanding enterprise data communications infrastructure. This includes deploying and servicing networking equipment such as routers, switches, and wireless access points across distributed sites, including remote and mountain-based facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure Cisco routers, switches, and Aruba wireless LAN systems to support organizational growth and site expansions
- Deploy and maintain RFID hardware and associated network infrastructure critical to operations
- Set up and support Microsoft server platforms and other operating systems as needed
- Diagnose and resolve network and server outages in alignment with service level expectations
- Support remote locations with consistent network performance and connectivity
- Collaborate with PC Technicians and Help Desk teams using network monitoring and diagnostic tools
- Manage requests for network changes, including moves, adds, and reconfigurations
- Track infrastructure needs such as cabling, equipment upgrades, and decommissioning
- Oversee project timelines to balance daily operations with strategic initiatives
- Ensure effective coordination between IT and other departments during project rollouts
- Maintain up-to-date network documentation, including configurations and procedural guides
- Preserve records of network changes, upgrades, and design modifications
- Engage with vendors to source equipment, compare technical specifications, and obtain pricing
- Meet performance benchmarks and support team coverage during absences or training periods
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in network administration or related field
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS, VLANs, and EIGRP routing protocol
- Familiarity with Cisco hardware platforms including 6500, 4500, 3700, and 2900 series
- Working knowledge of Aruba wireless systems and RFID network ecosystems
- Solid grasp of TCP/IP, IP routing, NetBIOS, and Ethernet technologies
- Understanding of 802.11x standards and DSL connectivity methods
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks without direct supervision
- Willingness to provide after-hours support, including on-call duties and on-site work
- Personal vehicle use may be necessary for site visits
