This field-based position serves as a clinical advisor for thromboelastography (TEG) solutions, supporting hospitals and healthcare teams within a designated region. The specialist works directly with clinicians, laboratory staff, and decision-makers to enhance adoption, ensure proper use, and expand applications of TEG technology in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support for TEG equipment, software, and assays to both new and established accounts
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including physicians, nurses, and laboratory personnel
- Support implementation of new systems, including validation, competency development, and workflow integration
- Provide real-time case support across shifts, including after-hours assistance when needed
- Drive utilization by educating teams on interpreting TEG results in specialties such as trauma, cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, and organ transplantation
- Identify and develop clinical champions to promote standard-of-care adoption
- Collaborate with sales and implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term success
- Use CRM tools to track customer interactions, forecast growth, and guide strategic planning
- Host educational events, deliver grand rounds, and support regional or national trade shows
- Address technical and clinical inquiries through timely investigation and cross-functional coordination
- Stay current with clinical advancements through professional development and engagement with medical societies
- Contribute insights to product development and marketing initiatives based on field observations
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related clinical field, with at least three years of experience in critical care environments such as ICU, ER, or trauma units. Strong communication skills and familiarity with hemostasis monitoring are essential. Prior experience operating TEG analyzers or working with related software is preferred. A master’s degree or business background may enhance candidacy.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Houston, requiring up to 25% domestic travel. Candidates must reside within the territory and be within approximately 45 minutes of a major airport. The position involves regular site visits, on-site support during system launches, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary ranges from $84,700 to $157,300, with additional incentives including a sales commission plan and eligibility for equity participation.
