Rockwell Automation is looking for a Technology Consultant, Software and Control to serve as a key technical resource for our products. You will be the technical product expert within the sales organization, providing support for customer pursuits, delivering demonstrations, and acting as a trusted advisor to the sales team and channel partners.
What You'll Do
- Be the technical product expert and focal point in your region for a specific product range.
- Facilitate and provide product-based training to the sales team and channel partners.
- Work with the sales force to promote products through presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and performance tests.
- Define and explain product differentiators and value versus competition.
- Analyze product lines and competitor strategies to further define competitive differentiators.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and marketing activities, offering demonstrations and expertise.
- Support market access (Distributors & Systems Integrators) to build their capability in demonstrating Rockwell Automation products.
- Assist with the launch of new products to the sales team and channel.
- Validate and resolve product compatibility issues within architectural solutions.
- Update customers on new products and technologies relevant to their industry and application needs.
- Provide product gap and development feedback to the appropriate internal teams.
- Work with Technical Support on the escalation of post-sales product issues.
- Focus on opportunities that align with Rockwell Automation's strategic goals.
- Understand business models, organization, and go-to-market strategy.
- Keep sales and customer relationship management data up to date in company tools.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Nice to Have
- Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with the Logix platform, Stratix networking hardware, FactoryTalk HMIs, and PlantPAx.
- 5+ years of related experience in industrial automation and product experience.
- 5+ years of solution/application expertise and related demonstrated sales experience.
- Ability to work with and gain the confidence of senior-level personnel in a highly collaborative, matrixed organization.
- Proven ability to exceed customer expectations in a sales environment.
