Responsibilities
- Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including ICS elements, diverters, scanners, and third-party equipment used to interface with the system.
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems using structured troubleshooting methods.
- Respond to system interruptions caused by carrier jams, sensor faults, or control logic errors; execute resets and root cause analysis.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER Group standards and OEM documentation on the ICS system.
- Interface with BEUMER’s High-Level Control (SAC) and PLC systems to monitor performance and execute logic-based interventions.
- Inspect system health using diagnostic tools and performance dashboards; recommend optimizations to improve throughput and reliability.
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, fault trends, and spare part usage in compliance with reporting protocols.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Quality Control standards, including lockout/tagout procedures and PPE requirements.
- Communicate clearly with Shift Supervisors and cross-functional teams regarding system status, escalations, and improvement opportunities.
- Support system upgrades, and updates, including hardware retrofits in collaboration with engineering and OEM representatives.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including failure mode analysis and reliability-centered maintenance reviews.
- Execute additional tasks or projects as assigned by management or supervisory staff.
Requirements
- Advanced mechatronics expertise across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Hands-on support and system diagnostics for the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS).
- Structured troubleshooting methods for mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER Group standards and OEM documentation.
- Ability to interface with High-Level Control (SAC) and PLC systems.
- Use of diagnostic tools and performance dashboards to inspect system health.
