JetBrains is seeking a Technical Writer to join the JetBrains Cloud Platform team, responsible for documenting subsystems related to user and license management, AI-specific governance, analytics, APIs, and an agentic framework. The role involves creating both end-user and internal documentation while collaborating with product managers, developers, designers, and QA engineers to ensure clarity and timely delivery aligned with product releases.
What You'll Do
- Document the platform's subsystems for user and license management, AI-specific governance, and analytics
- Document underlying APIs and the agentic framework
- Create both end-user documentation and internal documentation for development teams
- Coordinate with team members including product and project managers, designers, QA engineers, and developers
- Ensure team members have a clear understanding of user needs, expectations, and challenges
- Plan and prepare documentation for upcoming features in time for releases
What We're Looking For
- Experience documenting new and quickly evolving products, technologies, and frameworks
- A sincere interest in modern AI (LLMs, agents)
- Familiarity with the docs-as-code approach, where documentation is tightly integrated with other product development processes
- Strong English language skills, with the ability to write clearly and empathize with your readers
- A preference for working independently, taking initiative and responsibility as an expert in content authoring, time management, and task prioritization
Nice to Have
- Experience with any programming language, preferably Kotlin or Java
- An understanding of some basic software development concepts and tools, such as APIs, REST, frameworks, Git, and CI/CD
