Role Overview
We're looking for a Technical Recruiter to help us build a strong network of software engineering talent in Ethiopia. In this role, you'll play a key part in identifying skilled developers and connecting them with our hiring team. This is an hourly contract position with flexible scheduling, ideal for someone deeply connected to the local tech community.
Responsibilities
- Proactively source qualified software developer candidates across Ethiopia
- Post and manage job listings on local job platforms and developer communities
- Reach out directly to potential candidates using LinkedIn and other professional networks
- Tap into personal and professional networks to uncover hidden talent
- Introduce promising candidates to the hiring team with clear, organized summaries
- Maintain a consistent and up-to-date pipeline of applicants
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine candidate requirements
Qualifications
- Proven experience recruiting or sourcing software developers in Ethiopia
- In-depth understanding of the local tech talent landscape
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn, local job boards, and online developer communities
- Strong ability to assess and identify qualified engineering professionals
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Self-directed with the ability to work independently
Preferred Background
- An established network of software engineers in Ethiopia
- Experience placing candidates in remote or distributed tech roles
- Track record of engaging developers through community platforms
Compensation & Work Structure
You'll be paid $9 per hour, with payments issued weekly. The role is fully remote within Ethiopia and offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your availability. This is a contractor position with no fixed full-time commitment.
