What You'll Do
Guide the end-to-end development of core product areas, working alongside founders, engineering leads, and executives to define and execute a clear technical vision. Own the full product lifecycle—from initial concept and user research to commercial strategy and market launch.
Engage directly with developers to understand their workflows, pain points, and expectations, using insights to shape a forward-looking roadmap. Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, easy-to-understand value propositions in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
Act as a technical peer to engineering teams, framing problems clearly and contributing early-stage prototypes, API designs, or UX wireframes. Support decision-making around architecture and trade-offs while maintaining a relentless focus on quality and usability.
Measure and analyze product performance to inform future iterations, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with developer needs.
Requirements
- Experience managing technical B2B SaaS or API-first products in early-stage or high-growth environments
- Background in software engineering with the ability to write code in a modern programming language
- Hands-on experience building or using developer tools, including CLI utilities
- Proven ability to prototype using APIs and advocate for the developer experience
- Deep understanding of API design, documentation, and the developer journey
- Familiarity with modern web technologies and distributed systems
- Natural empathy for technical users and a developer-first mindset
- Adaptability to thrive in fast-moving, agile environments with rapid iteration cycles
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with real-time messaging platforms, Chat APIs, or communication infrastructure
- Worked on developer tools, DevOps solutions, or cloud-native technologies
- Knowledge of pub/sub systems and event-driven architectures
- Experience within distributed or event-based systems
