SAP Software Solutions is looking for a Technical Product Manager to join our Cloud-Native Lifecycle Management team. In this senior role, you will shape the future of cloud-native delivery by contributing to the Open Component Model (OCM) and the ApeiroRA open-source reference architecture, helping advance Europe's digital sovereignty.
What You'll Do
- Shape the project roadmap in alignment with our vision, stakeholder needs, and technical direction.
- Drive delivery by translating high-level goals into well-scoped milestones and actionable backlog items.
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders to ensure their needs directly inform project decisions.
- Align upstream contributions and dependencies with project goals, making deliberate investment decisions.
- Advocate for the project within SAP and the wider cloud-native community to grow visibility.
- Contribute to architectural discussions, constructively challenge assumptions, and help guide technical decisions.
What We're Looking For
- Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a collaborative, proactive mindset.
- Proven experience in community engagement and open-source contributions.
- A distinguished university degree in Computer Science or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-time software engineering roles.
- A solid understanding of container technologies and the broader cloud-native ecosystem (CNCF landscape).
- Confidence navigating the Kubernetes ecosystem and elaborating on its extension concepts like CRDs and the operator pattern.
- High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
