About the Role

Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise field teams conducting weapons and ammunition management activities
- Ensure compliance with technical safety and security protocols during operations
- Conduct assessments of weapons and ammunition stockpiles
- Oversee the safe transportation and destruction of unstable or surplus ordnance
- Provide technical guidance on explosive hazard mitigation
- Support national authorities in strengthening stockpile security
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and disposal operations
- Deliver training to local personnel on safe handling procedures
- Monitor operational performance and report on progress
- Coordinate with regional stakeholders and partners
- Implement risk management strategies in challenging environments
- Ensure adherence to international disarmament standards
- Conduct site inspections to verify safety compliance
- Assist in developing operational plans and work schedules
- Respond to emergency incidents involving unstable munitions
- Promote gender-sensitive approaches in program delivery
- Uphold environmental protection measures during disposal operations
- Ensure chain of custody for all managed materials
- Maintain communication with headquarters and technical advisors
- Support data collection and reporting for donor requirements
- Facilitate coordination between military, police, and civil authorities
- Contribute to program design and improvement initiatives

- Manage logistics for remote field operations

Compensation
