Responsibilities
- Collaborate with audio specialists and cross-functional teams to create and integrate advanced audio systems, including multi-channel surround sound.
- Oversee the efficiency and performance of in-game audio architecture.
- Partner with developers to design and deliver effective development tools for audio implementation.
- Provide regular updates and progress reports to the audio director.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or a closely related software field.
- Strong programming abilities in C++ and Python.
- Solid understanding of acoustics and digital signal processing for audio.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Deep enthusiasm for video games and a strong interest in 3D spatial audio environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset in diverse, interdisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have
- Demonstrated skill with game audio middleware platforms such as Wwise.
- Hands-on experience with game engines like Unreal or comparable systems.
- Advanced mathematical and physical reasoning abilities.
- Background in digital signal processing, plugin development, instrument design, or text-to-speech systems.
- Familiarity with digital audio workstations including Reaper or Pro Tools.
- Knowledge of 3D audio technologies such as head-related transfer functions and Ambisonics.
- Familiarity with sound design and mixing pipelines.
- Advanced proficiency in playing a musical instrument.
