As a Deployed Engineer based in Phoenix, you'll work side by side with customer engineering teams to co-design and implement robust AI agent systems that operate in production environments. Your role bridges technical depth and customer collaboration, ensuring solutions are not only built but also effectively operated over time.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with customers to design and develop AI agents, focusing on real-world use cases like conversational systems, research automation, and multi-step workflows.
- Lead technical engagements during pre-sales by designing proof-of-concept implementations, guiding evaluations, and addressing complex technical inquiries.
- Support customers post-sale with architectural guidance, operational best practices, and strategic planning for scaling AI workloads.
- Deliver technical workshops, demos, and training sessions tailored to developer audiences.
- Translate field insights into reusable patterns, code examples, and documentation that benefit the broader customer base.
- Contribute code improvements upstream when they lead to measurable gains in customer success.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in software, solutions, or customer-facing engineering roles, preferably in fast-moving environments like startups or scale-ups.
- Strong foundation in Python and JavaScript, with proven experience building systems that go beyond basic API integrations.
- Hands-on experience designing agent-based applications involving orchestration, state management, and error resilience.
- Ability to earn trust with technical teams by clearly communicating tradeoffs and owning outcomes end-to-end.
- Motivation to solve problems iteratively and deliver results in ambiguous situations.
- Passion for production-grade AI systems—not just prototypes.
Nice to Have
- Production experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
- Familiarity with LLM evaluation methods, observability tools, or safety guardrails.
- Background in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization, and Kubernetes fundamentals.
- Real-world experience shipping and maintaining production software under operational constraints.
Technology Environment
You’ll work with Python, JavaScript, LangChain, LangGraph, Fleet, LLM-driven applications, AI agents, and cloud infrastructure including AWS, GCP, and Azure, often within containerized and orchestrated environments.
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- Flexible vacation policy
- 401(k) plan with company contributions
- Meals provided on in-office days in the US
