About the Role

Salesforce is seeking a Technical Architect Director to act as a strategic advisor and product expert for our large, complex enterprise customers. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering Salesforce's product and project offerings, accelerating customer value, and minimizing technical debt.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client.
  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice and contribute to the community's knowledge base.
  • Guide customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value.
  • Work collaboratively with very strong communications skills, teaching complex concepts and employing creative, prescriptive thinking.
  • Identify and proactively manage risk areas, committing to seeing issues through to resolution.
  • Manage customer expectations and negotiate solutions to complex problems with customers and partners.
  • Review and correct project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to keep programs on track.
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects, and clients to architect technology solutions.
  • Contribute to a program vision while advising on strategies for enabling technologies, including the Salesforce Platform.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of enterprise architecture or consulting experience.
  • 2+ years of experience architecting and implementing Trade Promotion Management capabilities.
  • 5+ years of experience leading Salesforce Core Projects.
  • 2+ years of experience with Consumer Goods Cloud.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Consumer Goods industry.
  • Strong application design skills combined with data, integration, and security architecture skills.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to defend a point of view to various audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts, business models, and technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop audience-appropriate materials.
  • A great listener who communicates effectively with people in diverse roles.
  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
  • Resourceful and innovative problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong experience in Integration concepts, designs, and patterns.

  • TEAM PLAYER: Proficient at collaboration and working with team members.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
  • Ability to convey and convince customers of best practices at various organizational levels.
  • Application design and development background.
  • A strong Enterprise Architecture background.
  • Salesforce product certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, or Consumer Goods Cloud Accredited Professional.
  • Experience architecting and delivering Consumer Good Retail Execution.
  • Experience architecting and delivering Consumer Good Trade Promotion Management.
  • LEADERSHIP: Self-aware; proficient at building strong relationships.
  • THOUGHT LEADER: Strong point of view and executive presence; a confident storyteller.
  • Experience with AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Agentforce for Developers) and an understanding of their strengths and limitations.
  • Experience leading a technical team or workstream, with a passion for mentoring.
  • Ability to build and maintain key relationships with C-level executives, senior technology leaders, and key decision-makers.
  • Experience defining and delivering enterprise applications on the Salesforce Platform.

  • Compensation: For New York-based roles: $230,800 to $334,600. For Illinois-based roles: $211,500 to $306,600. For New Jersey-based roles: $211,500 to $306,600.
