The Technical Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial records by accurately logging technical reserves and adjustments derived from actuarial models and management directives. This position ensures all entries align with guidance from senior leadership and follows established accounting procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the timely and accurate recording of technical reserves based on actuarial outputs and defined accounting workflows.
- Implement financial alignments tied to technical results as directed by management.
- Verify that all accounting entries comply with instructions from supervisors or senior technical accountants.
- Support the annual budgeting cycle, particularly as it relates to reinsurance activities.
- Manage the reinsurance process within the FS-RI system for assigned portfolios.
- Prepare and deliver regional reinsurance reporting and coordinate deliverables across locations.
- Assist in audit procedures by providing necessary documentation and data extracts.
- Contribute to ongoing financial analysis and reporting initiatives.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and at least three years of relevant experience are required. Candidates should demonstrate solid understanding of credit insurance products and processes. Strong collaboration skills are essential, particularly when working with regional finance teams and local accounting professionals. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn—someone who consistently follows through on tasks and maintains accurate records.
