Shae Group is seeking a Tech Lead (Solutions Architect + Applied AI Lead) to drive technical strategy for our AI-first product portfolio, including Digital Twin and clinical wellness applications. This senior leadership role owns end-to-end technical direction, spanning architecture, model lifecycle, data, security, reliability, and team technical excellence.
What You'll Do
- Design multi-tenant, API-first, white-label architecture for a B2B2C model, including event-driven integrations and data mesh/warehouse patterns.
- Manage Azure cloud services, including serverless, vector databases, feature stores, MLOps stack, CI/CD, secrets, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Establish SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alerting, runbooks, and postmortem processes; lead capacity and cost modeling.
- Translate product and clinical use cases into model-enabled features like RAG, agents, multimodal models, and time-series analysis on wearables data.
- Own LLM safety, evaluations, red-teaming, prompt and model versioning, and offline/online A/B testing; define the relationship between offline metrics and online KPIs.
- Build pipelines for data labeling, weak supervision, retrieval quality, and continuous model improvement.
- Define PII/PHI data handling, consent, lineage, retention, and cross-border controls; implement privacy-by-design.
- Approve integrations with wearables, EHR/LIS, and payment systems; ensure encryption, key management, and data loss prevention.
- Lead the technical roadmap, spike plans, architectural decision records (ADRs), and trade-off decisions; manage technical debt intentionally.
- Mentor engineers, raise code quality through pairing and design reviews, define testing strategies, and empower team autonomy.
- Partner with Product, Clinical, and Sales teams; run build–buy–partner analyses; manage vendors; and support pre-sales activities.
What We're Looking For
- 8–12+ years of experience building cloud-native products.
- 3+ years in a Tech Lead or Architect role.
- Hands-on production experience with LLMs and AI agents.
- Strong fundamentals in systems design, data platforms, API design, and security.
- 4+ years building with Typescript, specifically with NextJS and Fastify.
- 4+ years building with Python and FAST API.
- Experience with 5+ projects utilizing Azure PostgreSQL Managed Database, Qdrant Database, and Cosmos Databases.
- 4+ years building prompt-engineered pipelines using LangChain, AI orchestration tools, and LLMs like Gemini, Claude, GPTs, and Grok.
- At least 2+ projects involving Azure Container Apps and Azure Functions.
Nice to Have
- Healthcare or wellness domain experience.
- Experience working with regulated data under HIPAA or GDPR.
- Experience with on-device machine learning.
- Experience with voice agents.
- Experience with the Xano or FlutterFlow ecosystems.
