Hubbell Incorporated is hiring a Team Lead USB Skid Wiring to direct the activities of workers producing products with technical and complex equipment. You'll lead a team to achieve manufacturing goals, set work priorities, and foster a collaborative environment.
What You'll Do
- Direct worker activities involved in production using technical and complex equipment.
- Set daily work priorities, provide direction, and work alongside team members to achieve goals per Supervisor direction.
- Provide input to the supervisor on performance reviews and coaching.
- Pay close attention to detail for your work and your team's work.
- Define daily goals for the team to track area performance.
- Establish end-of-day and weekly team task goals.
- Follow and enforce PCX safety guidelines and requirements.
- Work safely with all required equipment, machines, and tools.
- Persistently enforce a safe work environment, identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Listen to and follow directions from supervisors and management.
- Communicate effectively with team members, Supervisors, and other departments.
- Verify conformance of work to specifications.
- Exhibit quality workmanship adhering to engineering and customer specifications.
- Adhere to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
- Identify assembly and production issues, address discrepancies, and prevent problems.
- Assist in supervising personnel and be responsible for activities in your area.
- Motivate and inspire team members, resolve conflicts, and build a positive team culture.
- Be responsible for personnel safety, processes, equipment, and housekeeping.
- Ensure training and cross-training is conducted and training records are maintained.
- Assist Supervisor with employee scheduling and manpower assignment.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment in your area.
- Lead operational efficiency by reviewing manpower and equipment requirements.
- Troubleshoot problems and participate in problem-solving teams.
- Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality, and productivity using lean manufacturing techniques.
- Report inventory use as required.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to work in a team environment requiring cooperation, offering help, and maintaining positive work relationships.
- Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required.
Team & Environment
You will lead the team in your assigned area, providing direct support and assisting the Supervisor.
Work Mode
This is an onsite position.
