Lincoln Financial is hiring a Team Lead, Institutional Retirement Sales to provide leadership and direction to a team of Retirement Sales Consultants. You will be responsible for growing sales of full-service Defined Contribution and Stable Value Investment Only products, increasing revenue and market share for the Institutional Retirement Distribution channel.
What You'll Do
- Direct and motivate a sales team to grow full-service Defined Contribution and Stable Value Investment Only product offerings.
- Direct and oversee assigned internal sales team and complex sales activities to increase sales revenue and market share.
- Directs core team responsibilities to improve standards and enhance internal/external customer experience.
- Builds and maintains strong business relationships with key sales clients to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Manages the sales cycle (including generating proposals, preparing for finalist presentations, resolving issues) which often lasts 6-12 months.
- Identifies new advisors/consultants and makes proactive calls to prospective plan sponsors and intermediaries to generate RFPs and/or appointments.
- Ensures proper processing of all sold products from time of sale to issuance.
- Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback.
- Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
- Analyzes benchmarks and performance metrics to track and report complex sales plan progress, effectiveness, return on spend and bottom-line impact.
- Provides sales subject matter expertise, training and coaching to sales staff to ensure sales goals are achieved.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in financial services sales and/or relationship management.
- 3+ years of managerial, supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
- Strong working knowledge of retirement plan sales process.
- FINRA S6 and S63 will be required within 90 days of hire.
- Life & Health certification will be required within 120 days of hire.
- Confident, comfortable communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated strong relationship management skills with internal clients; proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches.
- Finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding.
Nice to Have
- Experience specific to Stable Value solutions and product offerings.
- Experience specific to the RFP/Finalist/Implementation process for large market DC offers.

Work Mode
This is a remote position. You can work from home or from offices in Charlotte, NC; Fort Wayne, IN; Omaha, NE; or Radnor, PA.
