CRH is offering a Teacher Summer Learning Opportunity through a paid externship program. This role provides a hands-on learning experience within a dynamic, growth-oriented national company focused on aggregate, asphalt, concrete, and construction. You will work under the close direction of an experienced supervisor to gain a comprehensive overview of our organization.
What You'll Do
- Learn about all lines of business including transportation, production, and commercial.
- Explore other areas of operation including safety and human resources.
- Learn about the various Oregon Employability Skills.
- Learn about the Oregon State Construction Management Program.
- Learn about Community College Programs, as they relate to positions at RiverBend.
- Engage in other learning opportunities and duties, as assigned.
- Maintain regular and timely attendance.
- Participate in and promote an inclusive work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Availability to work between 20 and 40 hours per week.
- A high attention to detail.
- Ability to perform intermediate mathematical skills, including basic algebra.
- A current and valid driver’s license.
- A safety-minded professional who demonstrates good performance, attendance, and punctuality.
- Ability to pass post-offer pre-employment controlled substance testing.
- Current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
