Responsibilities

  • Cultivate a school culture that prioritizes each child’s growth and individuality
  • Assess and track each student’s academic abilities, strengths, and learning needs
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with students’ families
  • Foster a classroom atmosphere where every student feels valued, understood, and secure
  • Ensure a consistent, well-managed daily routine
  • Deliver daily small-group instruction in reading, writing, and math for grades K–2
  • Lead daily literacy instruction, support students using a digital math program, and collaborate with math specialists to advance individual learning in grades 3–8
  • Monitor each student’s progress in math and literacy, including pacing, mastery, and areas of confusion
  • Use the school’s digital operations system to track student performance and support daily logistics
  • Facilitate high-quality interdisciplinary learning experiences through Pursuits
  • Maintain a reliable daily schedule and keep students engaged and on task
  • Analyze and act on student performance data weekly
  • Lead parent-teacher conferences at scheduled intervals throughout the year
  • Assist with admissions by hosting campus tours for prospective families
  • Provide regular updates about classroom activities to families and school staff
  • Engage in daily team check-ins and weekly communication cycles
  • Keep the learning space orderly, safe, and conducive to student focus
  • Enforce student adherence to school policies, including dress code
  • Follow all safety protocols, including emergency preparedness drills and incident reporting
  • Respond quickly to operational tasks and workflow requests
  • Communicate proactively with parents and colleagues
  • Seek clarification early and avoid making assumptions
  • Work with team members to manage coverage and resolve challenges
  • Accept feedback with openness and apply it constructively
  • Model a steady, composed presence that contributes to campus-wide stability
