Take ownership of transmission and distribution projects of varying scale and complexity, guiding them from initiation through delivery. You'll manage every phase of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, regulatory permitting, construction oversight, and community engagement, ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.
What You'll Do
- Direct end-to-end execution of substation and transmission projects, setting clear objectives and tracking progress against key milestones
- Lead cross-functional teams across multiple time zones, fostering collaboration and accountability
- Develop project budgets, define fee structures, and prepare compelling proposals and client-facing presentations
- Facilitate go/no-go decisions by evaluating technical and financial viability early in the project cycle
- Negotiate contracts and manage legal coordination, risk mitigation, and internal financial performance
- Strengthen client relationships through consistent delivery and proactive communication
- Support business development by capturing new opportunities and contributing to strategic growth planning
Requirements
- Proven experience managing full-cycle transmission or substation projects within electric utility environments
- Deep understanding of design, permitting, and construction processes for energy infrastructure
- Demonstrated ability to lead global teams and engage stakeholders effectively
- Strong financial acumen with experience overseeing project staffing, budgets, and risk frameworks
- Track record of writing proposals, setting project fees, and negotiating agreements
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a results-focused approach to project delivery
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage complex, multi-location initiatives
