Responsibilities
- Lead the review of federal and state tax returns for partnerships (Form 1065), S corporations (Form 1120S), high-net-worth individuals (Form 1040), fiduciary trusts (Form 1041), and estate tax filings (Form 706), including multi-jurisdictional and composite filings.
- Supervise the transformation of client trial balances into tax documentation, ensuring accurate handling of timing variances and Schedule M reconciliations.
- Perform and oversee detailed tax research and analysis on complex matters involving federal, state, and local income taxes, sales and use taxes, and international reporting obligations.
- Advise on compliance with FBAR (FinCEN 114), including evaluation of foreign financial accounts and client coordination on reporting duties.
- Partner with clients and leadership on forward-looking tax planning, organizational structuring, and strategies to reduce tax exposure.
- Train and guide early-career and intermediate-level team members through technical instruction, thorough workpaper reviews, and continuous performance development.
- Contribute to business growth by nurturing client relationships, uncovering new service offerings, and assisting in the creation of client proposals.
- Stay current on evolving tax legislation and regulatory updates to maintain compliance and uncover planning efficiencies for clients.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables in alignment with internal quality benchmarks and deadlines.
