Paired is looking for a Tax & Accounting Specialist to provide high-level support for a US-based client. This role requires a professional with the expertise of a Tax Senior, Manager, or Partner who can operate independently, managing a portfolio of clients from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and review Individual (Form 1040), Business (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065), and Nonprofit (Form 990) tax returns.
- Handle multi-state tax filings and manage quarterly estimated taxes and year-end planning.
- Manage monthly accounting and bookkeeping for clients.
- Own client relationships and workflows proactively, identifying tax-saving opportunities and compliance risks.
- Collaborate with team members on preparation and review work.
- Maintain accurate documentation and client records within CRM systems.
- Operate independently while meeting all deadlines and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level experience in US tax and accounting.
- Proven experience with US tax filings, compliance, and hands-on work with Forms 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, and multi-state filings.
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks for accounting and bookkeeping.
- Strong proficiency with ProConnect for tax preparation.
- Strong proficiency with Canopy or similar CRM systems.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts with minimal supervision.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- CPA, EA, or equivalent certification.
- US public accounting training or firm experience.
- Software certifications related to tax or accounting platforms.
