The Indiana Department of Correction and Madison State Hospital is looking for a Talent Acquisition Consultant to support an assigned portfolio of state agencies. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for strategic recruitment, daily communication with hiring managers and HR Directors, and educating partners on best recruitment practices to make a measurable impact on the state.
What You'll Do
- Provide high-level recruitment assistance to partner agencies, leading efforts to support their hiring needs.
- Identify and attract top-quality talent through creative recruiting solutions, networking, referrals, and advertising.
- Utilize Indeed, LinkedIn, Handshake, and internal databases to drive candidate flow.
- Develop and present tailored training on hiring processes, candidate experience, and talent selection.
- Represent the State of Indiana at career events across the state, including colleges and universities.
- Partner with agency HR teams and hiring managers to develop and implement strategies for hiring process improvements.
- Use data dashboards to identify barriers, propose solutions, and assess recruiting effectiveness.
- Act as a subject-matter expert for the state's SuccessFactors Recruiting platform and standardized hiring processes.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Human Resources, or a related field, or 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines.
- Skill in initiating and maintaining networking relationships within and outside of State Government.
- Able to research, investigate, and analyze topics to produce data, reports, and training materials.
- Experience creating and presenting presentations based on data and trends.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
