Responsibilities
- Assist in building prototypes and safety-critical flight systems within an agile, startup atmosphere
- Use pilot experience to shape and document mission-specific aspects of future aircraft operations
- Establish and convey strategies for aircraft type certification and operational authorization
- Create training and support materials essential for deploying autonomous systems in real-world settings
- Support the evolution of system architecture and evaluate trade-offs involving performance, complexity, risk, and development effort
- Identify and document system requirements and interfaces to guide avionics hardware and software design
- Conduct safety evaluations to support both experimental and production flight missions
- Deliver engineering insight during the design, development, testing, and validation of aircraft-level functions and performance metrics
- Collaborate across teams and engage in diverse tasks extending beyond traditional systems engineering

- Must be available to travel up to 10% of the time
