Genezen is looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our Global IT team. Based in Fishers, IN, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining our IT systems, servers, and infrastructure across all company locations. This on-site role is critical for ensuring the accessibility, uptime, and compliance of our GxP and corporate IT systems.
What You'll Do
- Maintain, configure, and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, network devices, and virtualization across all facilities.
- Manage system security, software updates, and controlled change procedures for GxP systems.
- Handle capacity, storage planning, database performance, and implement automation processes per validation protocols.
- Ensure the IT environment complies with relevant regulatory and quality requirements.
- Perform regular backup operations and implement processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, and prioritize issues based on impact.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications for planning and implementing new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
- Lead helpdesk support efforts, resolving desktop applications, workstation, and equipment problems in a timely manner.
- Provide support to colleagues in both Lexington and Fishers facilities.
- Participate in internal and external audits and communicate with vendors and third parties.
- Initiate and execute IT projects based on the overall IT strategy and priorities.
- Work with IT staff, internal customers, vendors, and auditors to ensure the right solutions are delivered.
What We're Looking For
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, System Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience supporting IT infrastructure.
- Experience in implementing Controlled Change and Patch Management of GxP systems.
- System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields.
- Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (IAAS Azure, AWS).
- Strong knowledge of cloud, systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools like PowerShell.
- A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans.
- Strong knowledge of helpdesk/IT operations best practices, security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols, including experience with Veeam backup Software.
- Able to execute and report on IT-led projects, with a customer-service orientation and attention to detail.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to adapt to changing priorities and manage your own workload.
- Self-motivated, passionate to learn, and capable of resolving multi-disciplinary process problems.
- Team-oriented, generous in sharing knowledge, and experienced in a commercial organization.
