About the Role
This position involves operating survey equipment to gather accurate field measurements and supporting survey teams in both urban and remote locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate total stations, GPS receivers, and other survey instruments with precision
- Collect field data for topographic and boundary surveys
- Assist in setting up and calibrating survey equipment
- Record measurements and field notes accurately
- Support survey crews in navigation and site access
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage
- Follow safety protocols during field operations
- Communicate effectively with team members on site
- Assist in locating property markers and control points
- Work in various weather and terrain conditions
- Transport gear and instruments to project sites
- Verify data consistency with project requirements
- Assist in preparing field sketches and documentation
- Adhere to project timelines and field schedules
- Support quality control checks on collected data
- Participate in pre-survey planning meetings
- Assist in drone operation setup when required
- Report equipment issues promptly
- Follow environmental and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on data needs
