Responsibilities
- Lead field survey teams in executing boundary, topographic, construction, and as-built surveys.
- Operate and perform routine maintenance on survey instruments including total stations, GNSS receivers, laser scanners, levels, and data collectors.
- Create detailed field notes and sketches to accurately record survey activities and findings.
- Follow project specifications, objectives, and schedules as directed by the Survey Team Leader.
- Use survey software to download, process, and verify data, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Support project monitoring by identifying issues, troubleshooting, and implementing corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget.
- Communicate project delays or problems promptly and clearly to the Survey Team Leader.
- Enforce safety procedures, maintain personal protective equipment supplies, and conduct regular equipment and vehicle inspections.
- Offer on-the-job training and basic supervision to junior crew members and contribute to performance evaluations.
