About the Role
The Supply Quality Expeditor ensures incoming materials meet quality standards and are delivered on time by coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and prevent production delays.
Responsibilities
- Track incoming materials to verify compliance with quality standards
- Coordinate with suppliers to resolve delivery delays
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and damage upon arrival
- Communicate quality issues to procurement and manufacturing teams
- Maintain records of supplier performance metrics
- Escalate recurring quality problems to management
- Support root cause analysis for non-conforming materials
- Verify documentation matches purchase orders and specifications
- Work with quality engineers to implement corrective actions
- Monitor lead times and forecast potential disruptions
- Facilitate return or replacement of defective parts
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements
- Participate in supplier evaluation meetings
- Update inventory status in real time
- Assist in resolving receiving discrepancies
- Follow up on corrective action requests
- Ensure timely communication between vendors and internal departments
- Track resolution timelines for open quality issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply quality
- Maintain organized records of supplier communications
Nice to Have
- Six Sigma or Lean training
- Previous experience in a regulated industry
- Knowledge of ISO quality standards
- Experience with SAP or Oracle systems
- Background in manufacturing quality control
