About the Role
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will lead quality initiatives, drive improvements, and ensure high reliability standards by working closely with suppliers and internal teams to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and authorize supplier PPAP documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Establish clear quality requirements for suppliers and create action plans to meet improvement goals.
- Lead investigations into quality failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct on-site supplier audits and qualification processes in coordination with procurement teams.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve supplier-related quality issues efficiently.
- Manage relationships and performance for over 200 suppliers across various product categories.
- Drive ongoing quality improvements to meet or exceed key performance metrics.
- Identify and support cost-saving opportunities through supplier collaboration.
- Develop and maintain ISO-aligned and internal process documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Oversee supplier-driven product changes to ensure proper validation and control.
- Prepare and deliver performance reports to leadership for strategic review.
- Coordinate with engineering, service, customer support, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- At least two years of experience in assembly or supplier quality engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel 20–30% within the country and approximately 5% internationally.
- Candidates must have current authorization to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.
