Responsibilities
- Conduct safety, quality, and control evaluations at supplier facilities to support selection and ongoing assurance of contracted product delivery.
- Verify that all suppliers comply with corporate safety policies and applicable legal regulations.
- Carry out audits to confirm adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Evaluate supplier production sites with emphasis on quality control and assurance procedures.
- Assess manufacturing capabilities, process controls, and alignment with established specifications.
- Confirm supplier deliverables meet defined technical and industry benchmarks.
- Review, verify, and approve supplier documentation, certifications, and compliance records.
- Carry out quality assurance and quality control tasks such as inspections of raw materials, parts, and final products.
- Track defect levels, corrective measures, and progress on continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure delivered items fulfill functional performance requirements for their intended use.
- Work with engineering and operations to resolve technical non-conformances.
- Identify and manage risks related to ethical sourcing, labor standards, and environmental impact.
- Initiate corrective actions and report significant reputational concerns to senior management.
- Collaborate with suppliers to strengthen quality systems, lower defect rates, and improve process consistency.
- Support training and development programs for supplier quality personnel.
- Keep detailed records of audit findings, inspection results, and compliance verification activities.
- Produce reports for internal stakeholders on supplier performance and risk exposure.
- Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and logistics to embed quality criteria in sourcing strategies.
- Provide technical expertise during supplier evaluation and onboarding processes.
- Respond to quality incidents by investigating root causes and coordinating supplier corrective actions.
- Report critical quality or compliance breaches to programme leadership promptly.
