Allegheny Health Network is hiring a Supervisor of Patient Access to lead evening shift operations at our Erie location. In this full-time onsite role, you will supervise staff within the Pre-Service Center, manage daily operations, and drive improvements to revenue cycle performance and patient experience.
What You'll Do
- Supervise staff, evaluate work, monitor time, and recommend or implement corrective actions.
- Identify, quantify, and monitor account details and workflow processes for barriers to make improvements.
- Use problem-solving skills to diagnose and solve root process, payer, and system issues impacting revenue cycle objectives.
- Complete employee performance evaluations, monitor attendance, and provide disciplinary action as necessary.
- Organize, delegate, monitor, and measure special projects to ensure timely and accurate completion.
- Independently lead initiatives as assigned by management, coordinating task teams to deliver results.
- Perform scheduling and pre-registration duties including patient demographic validation, insurance benefit verification, and coordination of benefits order.
- Train and lead team members in pre-service areas including scheduling, registration, financial clearance, and check-in collections.
- Deliver a positive patient experience in all encounters and resolve patient issues concisely.
What We're Looking For
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office related to revenue cycle management.
- 3-5 years' experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office specifically related to revenue cycle management, including staff supervision.
- Experience operating a PC and using software applications.
Nice to Have
- Call Center experience.
Team & Environment
You will provide direct supervision of staff within the Pre-Service Center.
