American Credit Acceptance is hiring a Supervisor of Originations to lead a team responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of our funding, underwriting, and sales processes. In this role, you will maximize loan performance by managing the credit function, funding operations, and your team in line with regulations and company policy.
What You'll Do

- Set performance plans to achieve monthly and annual goals.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to funding, underwriting, and sales positions.
- Develop the skills of subordinates through goal-setting, delegation, training, counseling, and performance management.
- Professionally and pleasantly communicate with all internal and external customers.
- Be assigned a variety of projects that impact the department and/or may include working across several functional areas.
- Provide timely responses to employee questions and inquiries.
- Manage relations between sales, funding, underwriting, servicing, and select dealer partners.
What We're Looking For
- A high school diploma.
- 1+ years of funding, underwriting, or sales experience, preferably in the auto industry.
- Strong understanding of auto loan contracts and supporting documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills.
- Ability to develop the skills of subordinates through goal-setting, delegation, training and performance management.
- Sound business judgment and an ability to learn on the fly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Clear verbal and written communications, customer service, time management, and leadership skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Must be a self-motivator while actively participating in a team environment.
- Must have computer skills, including MS Windows, MS Office, and MS Outlook.
