About the Role

The Bronx District Attorney’s Office, part of the City of New York, is seeking an experienced attorney for the role of Supervising Assistant District Attorney - Felony Trial Bureau. This position plays a crucial part in our mission to pursue a safer Bronx through fair and equitable justice. You will provide leadership, training, and operational oversight while managing a significant caseload.

What You'll Do

  • Participate in the training, mentoring, and professional development of Assistant District Attorneys.
  • Help supervise the daily operations and workflow of the assigned bureau.
  • Maintain an active caseload of criminal matters.
  • Conference cases, assign matters, and provide guidance on case strategy.
  • Oversee and participate in key litigation stages, including Grand Jury proceedings, pre-trial hearings, and trials.
  • Work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet operational demands.
  • Perform all additional duties as required by the specific bureau’s role.

What We're Looking For

  • Juris Doctorate degree and admission to the New York State Bar.
  • U.S. Citizenship and New York State residency as of the first day of employment.
  • 4+ years of trial experience or the equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, lecturing, coaching, or mentoring attorneys or legal staff.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to supervise and support staff in both in-person and remote settings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, collaborative demeanor.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, uphold the highest ethical standards, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, digital evidence platforms, and common office software.

Team & Environment

Supervising ADAs are assigned to specific bureaus such as the Felony Trial Bureau 30, Felony Trial Bureau 40, or General Crimes (Misdemeanor) Bureau. You will help cultivate a positive, collaborative, and mission-driven culture within the team.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary range: $150,000 - $188,000.

This position is fully onsite in Bronx County, New York.
