BeOne is looking for a Summer Internship: Privacy Law Intern to join our Privacy and Data Ethics team within Legal & Compliance. This internship provides direct exposure to the application of U.S. and European privacy laws in a multinational life sciences context. You will support compliance efforts across medical research, digital health, and global commercial operations while working closely with counsel and cross-functional partners.
What You'll Do
- Conduct legal research and analysis on global privacy, data protection, retention, and cybersecurity laws like GDPR, HIPAA, and state privacy laws.
- Prepare summaries and presentations, and draft internal guidance, policies, and training materials to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical business advice.
- Assist with privacy assessments and reviews.
- Support privacy counsel in analyzing contracts, data-sharing agreements, and vendor engagements involving personal data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, IT, R&D, Commercial, and HR to understand business processes and identify privacy considerations.
- Help track and manage ongoing privacy projects, regulatory developments, and internal action items.
What We're Looking For
- A law student who will have completed at least one year of law school by the internship start.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with standard productivity tools like Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Nice to Have
- Completion of the second year of law school is strongly preferred.
- Coursework in privacy, data protection, cybersecurity, health law, or pharmaceutical law.
- Familiarity with or interest in privacy management tools like OneTrust.

- Hourly compensation of $35.00/hour plus eligibility for discretionary equity awards.
