Orono Public Schools is hiring a Summer Enrichment Teacher for Orono Community Education. In this role, you’ll develop and lead engaging classes or camps for our summer enrichment program, serving students from preschool through grade 8 (proposals for grades 9-12 are also considered). You’ll bring creativity and energy to our vibrant summer learning environment.
What You'll Do
- Design the class you want to teach, collaborating with the Summer Program Coordinator on topics and details.
- Teach creative summer classes and camps, primarily for preschool through grade 8 students.
- Lead typically week-long sessions for 3 hours per day, with flexibility for other formats.

- Strong organizational skills and flexibility.
- The ability to communicate effectively with other staff members.
Nice to Have
- A Minnesota Teaching License.
- Previous work experience with school-age children.

You will work cooperatively with the Summer Program Coordinator to shape and deliver your classes.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $32-$35 per hour.
- Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST).
- Position covered by the Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
