Orono Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Orono High School. In this role, you will inspire students through engaging lessons and foster a deep understanding of history, geography, civics, and other social sciences.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deliver dynamic, standards-aligned curriculum for high school social studies courses.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, respectful discourse, and active participation.
- Assess student progress through diverse methods and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices and contribute to department goals.
What We're Looking For
- Valid Minnesota teaching license in Social Studies for grades 9-12.
- Strong knowledge of social studies content areas and pedagogical best practices.
- Ability to design differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
