Responsibilities
- Conduct field surveys to identify subsurface utilities using electromagnetic detection and ground-penetrating radar systems
- Analyze collected data to assess utility type, depth, and horizontal alignment
- Mark utility locations in the field following recognized industry standards
- Record and preserve precise documentation of utility positions and field operations
- Perform regular upkeep, calibration, and issue resolution for locating devices
- Coordinate with project personnel, contractors, and utility operators to confirm and relay findings
- Support project design and implementation by delivering reliable underground utility data
- Keep detailed and systematic field logs, reports, and related records
- Remain updated on advancements in utility detection technology, equipment, and industry standards
- Help train and guide junior team members in proper locating procedures
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and quality assurance requirements
