LVT is looking for a Substation Engineer where you will apply and grow your engineering expertise. You will work on project teams dedicated to designing new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate on project teams with other engineers to design new high voltage and extra-high voltage substations and transmission systems.
- Perform power transmission design work and prepare specifications for the procurement of major electrical power equipment and related installation services.
- Potentially travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor of Science engineering degree.
- Understanding of the practical application of electrical engineering principles and technology to project design.
- Knowledge of design techniques and tools for producing technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models, with the ability to visualize parts in 3D without computer aid.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Nice to Have
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, or Chemical Engineering is strongly preferred.
- Coursework or experience in Coding, 3D Modeling/Design, and using agentic AI.
