PsyPhyCare is hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor (Dayton, OH) – Youth Residential Program

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and group counseling focused on substance use disorders
• Design and lead educational initiatives on alcohol, tobacco, and drug prevention
• Interact with youth in living quarters, shared spaces, dining areas, recreational zones, and therapy rooms
• Work closely with program administrators and multidisciplinary team members
• Promote personal growth, effective coping strategies, sound judgment, and strategies to prevent relapse
• Offer immediate support during behavioral or emotional crises
• Create tailored case plans to support student progress and holistic well-being
• Ensure clinical records are current, complete, and submitted promptly
• Adhere to ethical guidelines, privacy laws, and HIPAA regulations in all interactions
