Machinify is looking for a Subrogation Analyst to join our Subrogation team. You'll investigate health insurance data to identify accidents and determine liability for medical claims, enabling fund recovery from at-fault parties. You will specialize in complex liability cases, applying knowledge of state law and negotiation strategies to maximize recoveries and contribute to our mission of driving down healthcare costs.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and determine whether medical insurance claims are recoverable or non-recoverable from a liable third party.
- Communicate and negotiate with healthcare plan members, insurance adjusters, and attorneys.
- Utilize computer systems to accurately document collected information.
- Apply organizational, analytical, and time management skills to manage daily workflow.
- Review and understand healthcare contracts.
- Create medical expense spreadsheets and process payments from recoveries.
What We're Looking For
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient with multi-tasking and time management.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Nice to Have
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent skills and experience.
- Professional experience in insurance, legal, mortgage lending, customer service, or a related field.
