AECOM’s Water Business Line is seeking a talented mid-career Structural Engineer to support water, wastewater treatment, flood protection, and associated projects in our Chelmsford, MA office. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: - Perform assignments requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to carry out tasks associated with the technical design and layout of structural engineering solutions for water and wastewater treatment facilities. - Exercise engineering judgment for the development of facility layouts, material selections, and analysis of structures and providing Direct Responsible Charge, guidance and mentorship to junior-level structural engineers. - Serve as the technical lead for the Structural Engineering department under the guidance of the Structural Engineering Department Head. - Prepare layout and design site development features, access roads, drainage channels, slop stabilization, retaining walls, detention ponds, and surface drainage.
