As a Street Lighting Engineer, you'll play a central role in developing technical designs and consultancy services for exterior lighting across complex infrastructure projects. You'll work on solutions for highways, EV-enabled parking areas, and other public environments, focusing on sustainability, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical lighting design and consultancy for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
- Conduct daytime and nighttime lighting assessments and surveys
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project goals and develop tailored, low-carbon lighting strategies
- Produce detailed designs using AutoCAD, BIM tools, Lighting Reality, and electrical cable sizing software
- Ensure designs meet National Highways and local authority requirements
- Support project management, reporting, and quality assurance processes
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical development within the group
- Promote sustainable practices and advocate for energy-efficient lighting technologies
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in exterior lighting and electrical design for public infrastructure
- Strong understanding of lighting standards and the ability to apply them effectively
