Deckers Brands is hiring a Streem Energy Lead / Senior Sales Engineer to be the first member of the pre-sales function for its renewable energy SaaS platform. This high-ownership role is central to bridging product and sales, leading all technical engagements with prospective clients to demonstrate the platform’s value in the energy transition.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the technical expert during the sales process, demonstrating the platform’s capabilities and value proposition.
- Lead customised demos, workshops, and test / proof-of-concept projects tailored to each client’s specific needs.
- Lead the technical aspect of the qualification process, organising sessions that demonstrate how the platform delivers tangible benefits.
- Collaborate closely with the product team to translate customer needs into actionable feedback and potential feature enhancements.
- Lead responses to RFPs and RFIs, and assist in drafting the technical aspects of proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to prospects and clients, helping them optimise commercial processes using the platform.
- Serve as the first point of assessment for prospect product extensions by evaluating new feature requests, assessing business impact, and providing recommendations.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Energy, Finance, or a related field.
- 7–10 years in pre-sales, solution engineering, or sales consulting, ideally in SaaS or renewable energy technology.
- Hands-on experience with asset management, renewable energy markets, or portfolio management.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to translate complex solutions into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead client workshops, demos, and test / proof-of-concept projects.
- Comfort with high ownership and working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Fluent in a second European language; German or Spanish is highly desirable.
- You must be an EU-based candidate.
