NetApp is looking for a Strategic Product Pricing Manager to own the development, implementation, and maintenance of pricing and discounting strategies across our product family. This is a key analytical role that ensures our pricing aligns with product positioning, competitive offerings, and business objectives, driving decisions through data and market research.
What You'll Do
- Define and implement pricing strategies for new products using value-based pricing and market-based competitive analysis.
- Own end-to-end pricing strategy, building pricing models, business cases, and forecasts.
- Make pricing and discounting recommendations backed by sound data-driven analysis.
- Understand the storage market and maintain a strong competitive viewpoint of customer demands.
- Continuously optimize existing pricing to drive revenue and margin growth.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work cross-functionally with Product owners, Finance, and Sales Operations.
- Present pricing proposals to executives for approval and adjust plans based on feedback.
- Utilize statistical methods for analysis of pricing trends and work directly with data to prove or debunk hypotheses.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related analytical field.
- 8+ years combined experience in the Enterprise Storage or related (Compute or Networking) industries.
- 5+ years of experience in a product pricing role, ideally in Enterprise Hardware or Software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable speaking in public and advocating for positions.
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree a plus.
