Remote Remote (Global) Employment

DroneDeploy is hiring a Product Manager, Aerial (USA)

About the Role

What You'll Do

Lead end-to-end execution of the Aerial product roadmap, covering flight planning, data capture, and upload processes. Guide development cycles by managing backlogs, sprint planning, and releases in close partnership with engineering and design teams.

Drive adoption across diverse drone fleets by supporting integration strategies for both DJI and non-DJI hardware, including docking systems. Work directly with Customer Success, Solutions, and key enterprise accounts to gather field insights and convert them into prioritized improvements—especially in mission reliability and high-accuracy mapping.

Integrate AI into daily workflows to enhance research, prototyping, and decision-making, then share effective practices across the product organization. Monitor core performance indicators such as mission success rates, system uptime, Aerial Pro adoption, and impact on annual recurring revenue and customer retention, reporting progress to leadership.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of product management experience with enterprise software, particularly in field-critical applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver robust, reliable workflows where safety, data integrity, and operational trust are essential.
  • Skilled at analyzing telemetry and system logs to understand real-world usage patterns.
  • Active or eager to adopt AI tools across product research, analysis, and documentation workflows.
  • Must either hold a FAA Part 107 remote pilot certificate or be willing to obtain one within the first 90 days of employment, maintaining it throughout your time in the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in geospatial, construction, or reality capture software development.
  • Experience with drones, robotics, or autonomous systems—including flight planning, SDK integrations, or MAVLink protocols.
  • Familiarity with inspection, energy, or agriculture field operations.

Benefits

  • Innovation & Collaboration: Work in a culture that values creative problem-solving and team-driven results.
  • Drone Certification Support: Receive full assistance in earning your Part 107 license.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Remote-first role with adaptable schedules.
  • Family Leave: Paid leave options to support major life events.
  • Healthcare: Comprehensive medical coverage for your well-being.
  • Growth Opportunities: Access ongoing learning and career development resources.
  • Flexible PTO: Take time off when needed to recharge, with trust to manage your workload.
  • Referral Bonus: Earn rewards for bringing great talent onto the team.
