Star Pubs, part of HEINEKEN UK, is looking for a Strategic Business Controller for a 12-month short-term assignment (STA) as a parental leave replacement. In this role, you will act as a strategic finance partner who drives performance, shapes the planning and forecasting cycle, and delivers insights that influence key business decisions for HEINEKEN Germany.
What You'll Do
- Maximize business performance by providing financial insights, scenario modelling, and profitability analysis.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership, challenging assumptions and assessing risks and opportunities.
- Coordinate and monitor the OpCo business planning cycle, including the Annual Plan, Rolling Forecasts, and Strategic Plans.
- Contribute to shaping the OpCo strategy through data‑driven insights and strategic financial analysis.
- Provide clear, actionable insights into business performance through KPIs, dashboards, commentary, and executive reporting.
- Identify root causes of performance gaps, track initiatives, and support performance improvement actions.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting standards.
- Ensure strong financial governance and compliance across the organization.
What We're Looking For
- University degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Controlling, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A or a business partnering role.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Highly numerate with strong attention to detail.
- Balanced skill set combining broad financial competencies with strong business and strategic acumen.
- Fluent in both English and German.
