Overview of the Role: PagerDuty is recruiting a Strategic Account Executive to join our dynamic, customer-focused team! We seek a talented sales professional experienced in enterprise, multi-product SaaS software, who will uncover and close PagerDuty product and service opportunities. This role involves driving new business and supporting key strategic accounts by embodying PagerDuty's commitment to "Champion the Customer," and delivering exceptional sales experiences by identifying organizational challenges and transforming them into business-driven perspectives. How You Impact Our Vision: You will engage, influence, and cultivate relationships with individuals across organizational levels, including individual contributors, mid-level management, and C-suite executives, to drive digital transformation strategies with leading enterprise customers. Your responsibilities will include: - Spearheading cross-functional account teams in developing and implementing detailed account strategies to expand existing relationships and acquire new customers, collaborating with Marketing, Solution Consulting, Customer Success, Business Value, BDRs, and Strategic Alliance teams. - Maintaining a sharp focus on identifying customer environment challenges and developing business-oriented perspectives that motivate action. - Generating revenue by selling, managing, and cultivating client relationships across existing and new accounts. - Continuously establishing executive alignments and fostering broad relationships within account bases. - Navigating hybrid business approaches combining transactional and strategic sales models. - Prioritizing opportunities and coordinating with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. - Exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas. - Effectively utilizing sales methodologies for lead management and forecasting. - Committing to pipeline generation and conducting comprehensive account research. Basic Qualifications: - Minimum 7 years of outside software sales experience, including 3 years selling at Strategic/Enterprise levels in multi-product, complex software environments. - Proven ability to independently prospect and build pipeline with a track record of hitting sales targets. - Experience leading complex sales cycles within Global 2000 Enterprises. - Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Advanced knowledge of DevOps, IT Ops, and Platform Engineering. - Familiarity with MEDDICC and Command of the Message. - Strong technical expertise and understanding of engineering culture. - Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred. The base salary range for this position is $160,000 - $185,000 USD (50/50 split). This role may also be eligible for bonus, commission, equity, and/or benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, reflecting the minimum and maximum base salary for newly hired employees.
