Repco is hiring a Store Counter Sales associate to serve as the 'face of the retail store' and primary contact for customers' automotive needs. You will provide parts solutions and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers in person at the counter and over the phone.
- Use parts knowledge to assist other team members answer questions for customers.
- Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who comes into the store.
- Bring customer focus and high energy to a fast-paced retail environment.
- Welcome retail customers into the store and engage to provide a positive consumer experience.
- Use technology including computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system.
What We're Looking For
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in a parts store or automotive industry OR a willingness to learn all things auto parts.
- A High School Diploma or GED. Technical or Trade school courses or degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast paced retail environments.
- Great listening skills and empathy for customers.
Nice to Have
- A background and/or passion for automotive industry, heavy equipment, farm industry, diesel, marine, or dealership.
- Experience in a parts store, auction, retail store, or auto body/collision.
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems.
- An entirely customer-centric mindset.
- ASE Certifications.
