This position focuses on the end-to-end management of storage systems and SAN fabrics across distributed, AS400, and mainframe platforms. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining storage hardware and software solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Your work will support critical infrastructure across multiple environments, requiring close coordination with internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain disk subsystems, NAS, block storage, and SAN infrastructure from vendors including Hitachi, HPE, IBM, NetApp, Brocade, and Cisco
- Monitor storage performance, capacity trends, and fabric health to proactively address issues
- Diagnose and resolve complex storage-related incidents using internal ticketing systems
- Manage storage allocation and ensure efficient use of resources across platforms
- Support architectural planning by evaluating and implementing new storage technologies
- Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline operations and improve system reliability
- Ensure compliance with organizational security policies across all storage environments
- Perform on-site tasks at data centers, including hardware installation and cabling verification
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation with potential travel to support critical operations
Required Expertise
Successful candidates will have hands-on experience administering storage solutions in heterogeneous environments. Proficiency with SAN fabric management, storage virtualization, and performance tuning is essential. You must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Portuguese and capable of working in a hybrid model with periodic on-site presence.
